Official storefront
Steam on Windows is the listed Early Access platform
Windows on Steam is the listed Early Access platform. The current Linux support statement says Linux is not officially supported and that Proton compatibility cannot be promised for the September 10 launch.
Earlier tests running through Proton do not guarantee that a later build will connect successfully. SteamOS and Steam Deck share that compatibility dependency, so check the Linux and handheld guides before treating PC specifications as a compatibility promise.
Console status
There is no confirmed WARDOGS PS5 or Xbox release
The official Steam, Team17, BULKHEAD, and launch announcements do not name PS5, Xbox Series, or Nintendo Switch versions.
A broad reference to future platforms or partial gamepad input does not confirm a console build. Treat console versions as unannounced until a platform holder or the game team publishes one.

Input support
Partial gamepad support is not the same as a console release
An August developer video discussed partial gamepad support planned for Early Access while describing keyboard and mouse as the preferred PC experience.
Steam Deck remains marked Unknown, so no compatibility rating is available yet.
Set up your PC, handheld or controller
- System requirements Compare the Windows PC specification tiers, identify your hardware, and understand the resolution and frame-rate targets before changing graphics settings.
- Controller support Set up a gamepad for the tasks you actually need: infantry movement, inventory, communication and vehicles. Keep a keyboard available during the pre-release builds.
- HOTAS setup Build a usable flight layout around four controls, then test device detection, neutral positions and the transition back to infantry.
- Linux & Proton The current answer matters more than an August success report: Linux is not officially supported, and Proton compatibility is not promised for September 10.
- Steam Deck Start with SteamOS compatibility, then check controls, readable menus and real match performance. An older Beta video does not certify the launch build.
