WARDOGS Vehicles: Roster, Prices and Unlocks

The full vehicle vendor roster recorded in the Closed Alpha — twenty machines from a $500 Bobcat to an $18,000 gunship — with every price, unlock gate and the three level tracks that decide when the vendor will actually sell you one.

QUICK ANSWER

The current answer

Twenty vehicles were recorded at the Closed Alpha vendor: fourteen land machines and six helicopters. Every one carries a price, two need a one-off cash unlock on top, ten sit behind a level gate, and the cheapest thing that flies — the MH-6 — still costs $6,250 against a $10,000 starting balance.

The other counter

Vehicles come from their own vendor

Vehicles are not equipment-tab purchases. They sit at a separate vendor with LAND and AIR tabs and their own filters, and a vehicle tile does not simply carry a price — it carries one of four things, and which one decides whether the vehicle is a purchase or a project.

Three tiles simply printed a price: you pay, you drive. Two print an unlock — a one-off payment that adds the vehicle to what you can buy, on top of the price rather than instead of it; the Ural costs $5,000 to buy and $60,000 to unlock. Ten sit behind a progression level. Five were locked with no requirement anyone could read, four of them aircraft.

Land transport

Land transports — getting a squad across the map

The workhorse tab. Eleven machines, from the $500 Bobcat to the $6,750 Ural Defender with the roof gun, with driver-level gates spread from Lvl 8 to Lvl 40.

Heavy armour

Tanks and artillery — armour that has to be answered

Three machines, every one gated on Wardog level. If that is the overall account level, heavy armour is not something you specialise into early — you get there by playing the game at whatever pace the game sets.

Combat helicopters — gunships, and the reason launchers exist

Four gunships, all locked with unreadable gates in the recording, from a $7,000 minigun Little Bird to the $18,000 HAVOC. These are the purchases the launcher category exists to answer.

Air transport

Air transports — getting a squad somewhere no road reaches

Two helicopters. The unarmed MH-6 scout is the cheapest thing that flies and the only aircraft whose tile carried a plain price; the UH-1Y behind it gates on Pilot level.

Progression

Driver, Pilot and Wardog are three different levels

The detail worth carrying away from the vendor: the level-gated tiles do not all read against the same counter. Land transports gate on Driver level, aircraft on Pilot level, and tanks and artillery on Wardog level. Driving a lot will never unlock a helicopter.

Driver and Pilot look like job-specific tracks — the same gear-driven XP idea the weapons vendor uses, earned by doing the thing. If Wardog is the overall account level, as the name suggests, it is the only gate that pure playtime cannot route around. That reading is ours and unconfirmed; nothing has been published about any of the three counters.

The economy

What a vehicle costs is not what it costs you

The same economy applies here as everywhere else in WARDOGS: $10,000 once per account, cash carries between matches, and what you lose stays lost. A vehicle is the largest single thing you can put on the table, and the launcher on somebody else's back is the counter to it.

That is why the unlock figures matter more than they look. An outright price is what a vehicle costs this life. An unlock is a standing commitment at several times that, made once, before you have lost a single one. Judge the purchase the way the tier list judges a rifle: what else the money buys, and how long the asset survives.

Unresolved

What is still unknown

  • What gates the four aircraft whose tiles printed no readable requirement
  • Whether an unlock is a one-off or a per-purchase price
  • Seats, armour, weapons and speed for any vehicle in the list
  • Whether stock differs across the three factions — only one was playable
  • Whether fighter jets, a stated Early Access plan, appear at this vendor or elsewhere

Direct answers

Frequently asked questions

How many vehicles are in WARDOGS?

Twenty were recorded at the Closed Alpha vehicle vendor: fourteen land machines and six helicopters. BULKHEAD has also named fighter jets as an Early Access plan, so the live count should grow.

How much do WARDOGS vehicles cost?

Recorded prices run from $500 for the Bobcat to $18,000 for the HAVOC gunship, with the L2A6 tank at $14,000. The Ural also needs a $60,000 unlock on top of its $5,000 price.

Are WARDOGS vehicle prices official?

No. Every figure was recorded first-hand during the Closed Alpha. Unlike weapon prices, though, the vehicle list did not show the recruit discount — a $500 Bobcat costs $500.

How do you unlock vehicles in WARDOGS?

Four ways in the recording: pay the price outright, clear a Driver, Pilot or Wardog level gate, pay a one-off cash unlock, or wait — five vehicles were locked with no readable requirement.

Can you buy a tank in WARDOGS?

In the test build, yes: the L2A6 at $14,000 behind Wardog Lvl 35, plus the Flakpanzer Gepard at $8,000 and the SPH-2 howitzer at $10,000, both behind high Wardog levels.
